Tik Tok Trends

TikTok is a social media app that allows us to create, watch and share videos, which uses top hits and music tracks. This app merged together with Musically in 2018 to create the new and improved TikTok app. With over 100 million users, this app is growing daily and welcoming new content makers every day. TikTok uses ideas such as lip syncing from other apps including Dubsmash and Vine. Also, like YouTube, videos are created which allow users to interact via comments or sharing the video. As well as lip syncing and dancing to tracks, you can also create your own content, whether this is just talking to the camera, creating a new dance, or sharing content about your niche interests. Each video can be grouped together using hashtags, which often link to memes, challenges and campaigns. This app has been used by many celebrities and brands to help improve their growth and fame and too right this has worked for many people and the app is only continue to grow itself and help others grow.

So, how can these TikTok ideas and TikTok trends help to grow your business?

TikTok

1. Creating a tutorial or tip video

This is always a great way of interacting with your followers and other users, as it gives advice as well as doing it in a fun and enjoyable way. For example, if you have a new product launching such as beauty product, you could do a video on how to apply it. This often encourages users to buy the product if they have a clear idea on what they are getting and how it works. The best part is that it doesn’t just have to be a boring tutorial, you can add music and special effects to add that special touch and draw in users to your product. As these videos can only last up to 1 minute, it isn’t too long and boring for people to watch. A popular type of tutorial which was used during lockdown was gym videos, which offered fitness tips to people. This blew up and encouraged lots of people to get involved. This is an amazing and interactive way to showcase a certain type of business, so why not try it yourself?

2. Join new trends and viral crazes

The great thing about TikTok is that there are always new TikTok trends or crazes going around, whether this is a new dance or a comedy lip syncing sound.  Businesses can use this to their best advantage by jumping on the bandwagon to rack up as many views as they can. Examples of this include the flip the switch challenge or renegade dance, both sounds had millions of views and were used by millions of users. By using the sound, it promotes artists and gets them plenty more views. So, if businesses create their own sound and it catches on, they could also bring in plenty of users as well. If you include products and people from particular businesses to make these trending videos you will be promoting your product as well as showing off your brilliant dancing and acting skills.

3. Create a branded filter

As with Instagram and Snapchat, content creators can create filters to be used either by just them as a brand or to be used by other creators. These filters can be can be created for photos or part of videos. An example of this was when NY fashion week used a special photo booth filter to accompany the events, this drew in a lot of TikTok creators. Currently, Samsung have created a filter on Snapchat which is on there for all users to see and use when they go to use a filer. Often, when you go onto the TikTok app, a brand would have paid to have a video promoting their business which you have to watch before carrying on scrolling. This allows brands to show off their products and services for a small amount of time, although if users like what they are seeing it can take them to the brands page for more information.

4. Partnering with influencers

Partnering with influencers has become a very popular and effective way of promoting products and services for brands. Influencers on social media apps such as TikTok are always building their audiences. Working with TikTok creators gives brands the opportunity to connect with their audiences and benefit from their creativity and individual styles. You can almost guarantee that your brand will be viewed by millions of people when involving a popular influencer. You can allow the influencer to access your businesses account so they can post directly from your page, this will hopefully attract people to your brand’s page. When partnering with an influencer it is always best to do your research in to what they do and what they like to ensure that they align with your brand. For example, if you are trying to promote a new make up product from your brand it is best to get a highly viewed and known make up artist influencer from TikTok to help you out if possible.

5. Launching a hashtag challenge

Launching a hashtag challenge is a great way to engage with audiences and spread awareness for your brand. When creating this hashtag, in order to get as many views as you can make sure you add a fun element to it and get creative. The brand Guess used a hashtag called #inmydenim which showed people going from wearing boring clothes to their denim in the video. It was the first brand hashtag to go viral for their fun and creative video. The more creative and unique you are with your video, the more views it will get. You can include different sounds and filters to your videos to ensure the best content is made. If the video does well, your business will be viewed by loads of users.

6. Have unique content

By having your own unique content you can go about things in your own way and build your own trends. By trying out new TikTok trends to fit in with your business it will intrigue new users to your page.  You can be as creative and imaginative as you like. If this content does well, it will attract other content creators and users to either try it themselves or carry on watching your videos. Your brand may become known for this new and exciting content as well as the product or service you are trying to promote. So, its a win win situation! Other people using the app will be able to duet and tag your account to spread that extra awareness.

7. Choosing your niche audience

TikTok is more than just comedy skits and dances, the good thing about it is that it can be used for many things. No matter your brand, age or subject, there is always an audience for everything on TikTok. You can build your page on what attracts your certain target audience to you as a brand. For example, if you are trying to reach out to students for a new studying app, you need to create content that resonates with or provides value for them. By consistently creating and putting your content out there, your niche audience will eventually grow and find you. From there, you can continue to provide your audience with what they know and love. You can create this content using different types of hashtags and video ideas.
