Our work with This Book’s Travels
This Book’s Travels is an innovative app and community platform designed to track the physical journey of books as they are passed from reader to reader globally, transforming reading into a shared, travel-based adventure. The primary challenge was launching a captivating digital hub that clearly explained this unique concept—combining a physical book with a digital tracking experience. The website needed to compel visitors to download the app, engage with the global community, and understand the core value proposition of discovering new reads and tracking their own books’ voyages.
We started with a strategic discovery meeting focused on the emotional and logistical appeal of the concept: turning a book into a passport. We mapped the user journey to follow a simple narrative flow: “See the concept” (visuals/text), “Understand the mechanism” (tracking), and “Take Action” (download). The strategy centred on selling the adventure and connection, not just the technology, making the user feel like a part of a global, shared story.
We executed a visually stunning, narrative-driven website design. The homepage uses engaging copy and full-screen app screenshots to immediately explain the book’s journey from finding to tracking. We ensured the Apple Store and Google Play download buttons were large, prominent, and featured immediately under the main pitch. Dedicated sections were built to illustrate the community aspect – how users connect through shared stories and literary travel tips—effectively promoting the app as a “literary travel companion” and driving maximum interest and downloads.

“This Book’s Travels is a brilliant blend of literature, community, and technology. We built a website that captures that sense of global adventure, ensuring the unique concept is clear, compelling, and, most importantly, drives direct downloads. The platform successfully bridges the gap between the physical act of reading and the digital joy of tracking.”
