Introducing the Guildford App by Delivered Social

At the heart of Surrey, Guildford offers a variety of vibrant businesses for those visiting the town centre however it can be difficult to know where the top spots and secrets gems are located. At Delivered Social we’re passionate about helping businesses grow and after a turbulent year, we wanted to give back to our local community.

Launched on the 26th of February the Guildford app, in partnership with Greatest Hits Radio, has already seen over 7,000 downloads, and we are hoping the guide will lead to the recovery of our beloved town’s high street long after the memory of the Covid-19 crisis.

What is the Guildford App?

Packed with features, the app is designed for both residents and visitors to make the most of their time whilst in town. Whether it be looking for a new coffee spot mid-shopping trip, finding a local taxi company after a long day, or even dating someone new – the app is designed to provide a truly comprehensive guide of Guildford.

With the pandemic altering our town centres for the foreseeable future, it has been a difficult time for businesses leading to many high streets becoming ghosts of their former selves. The Guildford app not only provides an exploratory guide with businesses able to sign up for a profile but also allows users to purchase products online from these stores that may have otherwise suffered from the lack of in-store visitors.

Here at Delivered Social, we aim to empower and help businesses grow to their full potential whilst doing what we can to give something back – you may have even seen us running around the town for our random act of kindness initiative! Having been based in Guildford for several years we know the colourful scene it has on offer, alongside the people behind the brands. To showcase this to our community we have therefore made the app a zero-charge action – no business nor user is charged fees as we aim to keep this an accessible resource for all. Whilst Covid-19 has brought many difficulties, it has also meant we have the opportunity to rebuild and strengthen our town centre for the future too.
