Delivered Social is pleased to have had the opportunity to work with Guildford Borough Council, Experience Guildford, Guildford Pubwatch, and Visit Guildford on this short video, showcasing some of the eating and drinking establishments in Guildford town centre who have opened their doors to residents again this weekend (4th July), many for the first time since they were forced to close on the 23rd March!

Find out about some of the measures the businesses have put in place to make sure they are Covid-safe! These include partitions, hand sanitiser being widely available, and tables spaced apart to allow for proper social distancing to be adhered to. All of the businesses are looking forward to welcoming you back!

However, don’t forget that the experience will be different for everyone. Many businesses have new measures put in place to make sure everyone stays safe, including booking in advance and not allowing entry if the establishment is too busy.

One of Guildford Borough Council’s important roles as local authority is supporting local businesses. As a result, they have helped over 1500 businesses access over £21 million of funds, alongside awarding discretionary grants to help businesses through this difficult time.

The main message is to enjoy the reopening of the town and the businesses, but make sure to keep safe as the town starts to recover. Watch the video here:
