The Challenge.

Creating a website that captured the spirit of the local community of waterlooville.

Waterlooville Community Events CIC delivers a wide range of events and initiatives designed to bring people in the community of Waterlooville and surrounding areas together throughout the year.

Organising Event Information Clearly: The website needed to present upcoming events, announcements and community updates in a simple way. Also it’s needed to be easy for the volunteers at Waterlooville Community Events to add new events themselves.
Creating A Welcoming Digital Presence: The design needed to reflect the organisation’s friendly, inclusive and community-led approach. We quite liked how the brand colours also reflected this so it was helpful for the design.
Ensuring Mobile-First Usability: As a large proportion of visitors access the website via their mobile devices – it was super important the website was optimised for mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
Implementing Strong SEO Foundation: Technical SEO and structured content were implemented from launch to support local search visibility for specific events.
