Overview.
A friendly pocket guide to the places, events and good ideas that make Guildford.
We first built The Guildford App during the pandemic to help the town’s independent businesses stay visible while the high street was quiet. It has been free for everyone from day one. Today more than 11,000 people use it every month to find somewhere to eat, shop or spend the weekend, and we have now rebuilt it from the ground up to be faster, simpler and easier to keep up to date.
The Challenge.
Keeping a Town Guide Fresh, Fast and Free.
The first version of the app did its job, but it had become slow and hard to update. Listings went out of date, adding events took too long and the experience no longer matched how people use their phones today. Guildford needed a guide that felt quick and modern, that our team could keep current every week, and that would stay free to use.
The Results.
A Faster, Friendlier Guide to Guildford.
The new Guildford App is quicker, cleaner and far easier to keep up to date. A warm, simple design built around the town’s colours puts places, events and good ideas within a couple of taps, and more than 11,000 people a month use it to make the most of Guildford.
