Designing Our Brand New Screening Room!

Earlier this year, the Delivered Social offices moved to a brand new location in Guildford town centre. While our old offices were great (though none of us will miss all of those stairs!), we needed something new to accommodate more of the team working from home. So, we packed everything off to our new address on Bury Fields, just a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the main town centre.

A big part of our old offices was our screening room. It provided us with a place away from where we usually work, for meetings and of course, our famous Social Clinics! In fact, this space is often used more than the actual office itself. For us, it’s a really multipurpose room so it needed to be practical and big enough to host our Social Clinics in. However, we definitely didn’t want it to be boring! Why not try something new and make it a little different from our old offices? So, our Head Honcho Jonathan decided that it was going to have a Star Trek theme because it’s his favourite thing ever and well, why not? The main attraction is clearly the model Star Trek ships that create a feature wall that’s fun but doesn’t detract away from the room’s practicality. It adds a bit of personality to the screening room, to show that we are not a boring company and we like to have fun as well as working hard. Plus, can you see the pink counter on the wall? This displays our Instagram followers in real-time, so whenever someone follows us, the number goes up! This causes a big talking point among our Social Clinic guests and clients and definitely helps us get a few more followers in as well.

Overall, the whole team is really pleased with how the new screening room looks. We think it perfectly sums us up as a company and offers something a little different for our guests to remember us by. We’re not holding many in-person meetings at the moment due to the ongoing COVID-19 restrictions, but we hope to welcome many more Social Clinics and guests in the future.
