Our work with the Centre for Studies on Inclusive Education (CSIE)
The Centre for Studies on Inclusive Education (CSIE) is a national charity committed to transforming education so that everyone, especially those with labels of special educational needs and disability (SEND), can feel welcome, visible, and respected. Their primary challenge was creating a digital platform that served two crucial, distinct audiences: educators and policy-makers/campaigners. They needed a website that clearly promoted their wide range of professional services (equality audits, training workshops) while simultaneously providing free, accessible resources for advocacy and encouraging financial support, as they receive no regular funding.
We began with a strategic discovery session, focusing on CSIE’s dual approach of working “from the top down” (policy) and “from the ground up” (schools). We mapped the user journey to ensure educators could quickly find practical tools (like the Equality Toolkit), while policy-makers could access research and consultation responses. The strategy centered on positioning CSIE as the definitive, credible authority on inclusive education in the UK.
We executed a clean, professional, and resource-focused website redesign. We organised the site around their two main offerings, using clear navigation titles to guide professional users immediately. We created dedicated sections for their “Support for Educators” services and their “Support for Systemic Change” initiatives, ensuring high visibility for their fee-based training and consultancy. Crucially, we implemented a highly visible “Support Us” section with multiple donation pathways, ensuring the website acts as a sustainable hub for their essential charitable work.
Jonathan Bird, Chief Executive Officer at Delivered Social said:
“CSIE is at the forefront of a critical national conversation, and their website had to reflect that authority. By clearly organising their wealth of resources and expertise into professional pathways and advocacy streams, we delivered a digital platform that effectively supports their mission to make every school truly inclusive.”
