Overview.
A calm, reassuring first step for separated families.
Woking Family Contact Centre gives children from separated families a safe, welcoming place to spend time with the parent they don't live with. Run by volunteers at Woking United Reformed Church and accredited by the National Association of Child Contact Centres, it also offers a handover point for day visits. We built a gentle, reassuring WordPress website that answers parents' questions before they even need to ask.
The Challenge.
Making a difficult time feel a little easier.
Families come to a contact centre at an emotional time, and solicitors, mediators and parents all need clear, accurate information about how referrals work, when sessions run and what to expect. The centre also relies on volunteers and donations, so the site had to support recruitment and fundraising without distracting from the families it serves.
The Results.
Clear information when families need it most.
Session dates sit in a simple list, referral and FAQ pages answer the common questions, and a Code of Conduct sets expectations from the start. Short testimonials from families show how welcoming the centre is, while Donate today and volunteer messages are always close at hand. The result is a website that helps more children keep a relationship with both parents.
