Overview.
A modern, responsive website site for an amazing local charitable organisation.
Petersfield Lido are a charity-run, community Lido. Located in the heart of Petersfield, the Lido opened more than 60 years ago to create a safe alternative to swimming in the Heath Pond for the local community.
Community remains at the heart of all they do, with a 25m outdoor pool, which is heated all year round, sauna and cafe.
They offer swim tuition for all ages with the goal of building a healthier and happier community in Petersfield. As a charity, they rely upon the support of swimmers, funders, donors and volunteers to continue to provide this fantastic facility for the local area.
The Challenge.
ImpendingImpeImpendingImpending branding change and a poor user experience.
Originally, Peterfield Pool, the brand, had an outdated feel, with a website that simply wasn’t usable for their audiences (which was another challenge, as they had so many to cater for).
Multiple clicks made timetabling impossible. Internal teams felt everything was too clunky to change and therefore didn’t, meaning information was out of reach.
The Results.
Synchronised Swimming – Website Edition.
Depending on who you ask, the answer you get will vary, but we can confirm that the Lido synchronised swimming video was by far the hardest part of this project (we jest).
The result for Petersfield Lido was a fully responsive website that showcases their new brand, highlights a variety of options, and has been a huge hit with existing and new customers alike.
Fast loading, easy to access and reaching new audiences every single day – solving the previous website’s challenges head-on.
