Overview.
A bright, accessible website that helps people affected by brain injury find long-term support and helps Headway Nottingham reach more families.
Headway Nottingham has supported adults affected by brain injury across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire since 1996, helping more than 2,000 people rebuild their lives. It is the only local service offering support without a time limit, providing long-term social and non-clinical rehabilitation through its day centre, outreach and casework, the Living Well after Brain Injury online course, a “By the Bedside” presence at Queens Medical Centre and practical help such as the Brain Injury ID Card, alongside dedicated support for carers and families.
The Challenge.
Supporting People at Every Stage of Brain Injury Recovery.
Brain injury affects everyone differently. Visitors might be families at a hospital bedside in the first days after an injury, people years into their recovery, carers looking for advice or professionals making a referral. Many live with fatigue, memory or concentration difficulties, so Headway Nottingham needed a site that was accessible and easy to navigate, felt welcoming rather than clinical, and explained a broad range of services clearly while encouraging people to fundraise and donate.
The Results.
A welcoming, accessible platform that connects people with long-term brain injury support across Nottinghamshire.
The new website gives Headway Nottingham a bright, confident online presence that reflects the warmth of its day centre. People affected by brain injury and their families can find help and make a referral in a few clicks, professionals have a clear route into services, and supporters can donate, fundraise, enter the Robin Hood Raffle or shop online, helping the charity continue offering support without a time limit.
