It’s safe to say that Christmas this year will be a little different to what anybody is used to! However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t still celebrate as much as we can, and spread a little Christmas cheer. Here at Delivered Social, we’re proud to have worked on this video with Guildford Borough Council to celebrate the town’s light switch-on virtually, and start the countdown to the holidays! The video also includes a reminder to shop locally wherever you can, in order to support our amazing local businesses. This is a message that we can fully get behind, and the whole team will be shopping locally this festive season! After all, with so many wonderful small businesses to support, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for in Guildford. Many small businesses are also online 24/7, so make sure to check out your favourites for gift inspiration this Christmas, and year-round!

The main purpose of the video was to celebrate the annual festive lights switch on. Each year, this event collects money to support our local communities. This year, the mayor’s chosen charity is the Coronavirus Response Fund. They’re doing some really great work in the local area to support local organisations that are helping vulnerable, elderly and isolated residents affected by the Coronavirus pandemic. The lights switch-on is also in aid of Guildford’s Local Support Fund, to support those families that are struggling financially. Both of these are in need of our help to keep doing their vital work as a really tough year comes to a close. It was a pleasure to work with the Borough Council on this festive project and produce a festive video to showcase the beautiful lights that mark the beginning of the holidays in our town.
